ABSTRACT

 

            The scope of this special study project is on the comparison study between the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The topic covered are about the WAP; which consists of its phases, model, architecture, features, benefits and the importance of WAP, specification and WAP development issues. The GPRS will also described such as its history, development stages, model, architecture and GPRS feature. The effectiveness of WAP and GPRS will further be covered such as their speed, switching methods and quality services supports. The WAP and GPRS development tools are also included such as the WAP software development kits, WML testing and validation tools and WBMP tools. Topic on Wireless Markup Language, Active Server Page, M3gate browser, WAPNuri DissectImage will also be discussed.
