A STUDY ON REMOTE ACCESS TECHNOLOGY IN IMPLEMENTING AN APPLICATION MONITORING SYSTEM ON A LOCAL NETWORK

ABSTRACT
The aim of the author’s project title is to provide network administrators a useful tool to maintain the discipline of computers users in a computer network. By using this system, administrators will be able to monitor the activities of a user on a computer and are able to stop any malicious or abuse of computer usage. Not only that, the proposed system is also able to generate reports based on the administrators’ requirements that would be helpful to administrators. The system’s core is mainly consisted of APIs and string manipulations, which provides the ability of the administrator to perform the available actions on a selected computer. Features such as computer lock, capture client screen, forbid programs, terminating programs externally, sending messages, shutdown/ reboot/ logoff clients, obtain client memory amount and statistic report generation are all available in this system.
