Currently, there is wide variety of communication software in the market. Each of the communication software in the market provides different type of communication facilities that facilitate users in communication. However, there is not one communication software, which could provide all the communication facilities presently in the market. Even if this “one for all” communication software exist, users may not chose to use due to some reasons such as users’ preferences in the existing software currently been used. Numbers of excellent communication software exists for certain communication facility but not all the communication facilities. For instance, users may choose the software, Outlook Express for e-mail and ICQ for chatting purposes. This means that if we need to use different types of software at one time, we would need to execute each type of the software separately. This is inconvenience and inefficient. Hence, this project investigates the inconveniences and the inefficiencies and, thus providing the solution by developing the Multi-Purpose Communication Software. The developed software will enable users to use different communication facilities offer by different communication software, which are combined into one. Furthermore, the multi-purpose communication software let users to configure the combined communication software. Users could make configuration by replacing the combined software in the developed with other software in the developed software with other software in the future. This allows flexibility in changing to other software as the demand or the technology for communication keep on changing and improving. It is hard to predict how the pace of communication technology.
