DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTING COMMERCIAL PAYROLL SYSTEM FOR SMALL AND INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS

The main objective of this documentation is to describe the process of how the payroll system was developed and implemented for commercial base. It guide reader throughout the entire development process in a friendly and systematically manner as to enable the reader efficient use and understand this system. The payroll system program manual will introduce basic functions and operations of the whole system. It will provide basic understanding of the system on how to start and use the system. Here it provides the user throughout the whole system in an easy and simple way for the user’s understanding basis. System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) was adopted as a guidance to develop this system. It is an iterative process, which consist of six phases, and gives a comprehensive cover of everything that must be done from the start of preliminary investigation to the system maintenance. The payroll system was developed under Microsoft Visual Basic 5 and Microsoft Visual Basic 6. Visual Basic language is prefer as it is known to have better grip of database concept and have graphical user interface. It exploits the features of Windows including multiple document interface, object linking and embedding and dynamic data exchange. All these could be link to custom control and calling procedures in dynamic link libraries.
