ABSTRACT
This project will do a
deep research on the inbound shipment logistic to learn the overall process of
the shipment in the Genmart Inc. and develop an
online shipment processing system for the company. The online shipment
processing system has two major parts, inbound shipment log and administration.
In the inbound shipment log, the system will record all the
purchase order information form customer, such as quantity and the date of
arrival. Base on the purchase order information, the user can use the system to
handle the shipping process record, shipping information, and generate an
inspection record. The system also provides service to maintain the items. In
the administration part, the administrator can add user, delete user, change
password and assign authority to different level of users. The administrator
can also use the system to edit and record the forwarder, carrier, shipping
marks and status of the ship. This system will save the time and cost for the
company to do their job, since everything is recorded and tracked. The
information will be updated immediately and the possibilities of making
mistakes will be reduced.
