A STUDY ON ONLINE DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM IN JOB ALERT APPLICATION FOR JOB SEEKERS AND EMPLOYERS

This project focuses on online job alert, which is a powerful recruitment system, which brings employer and job seekers together and allows them to interact directly for fast, efficient and cost effective recruitment through the web. Besides that, this project will also show the significance of information technology role in business especially in human resource management. Nevertheless, before developing the application, this project will conduct an investigation or study on the systems required developing the application. Those systems are online system (Active Server Pages) and Decision Support System. After that, the existing job alert system will be studied and will be improved, like improving its decision support system to help the job seekers to find the jobs that are suitable with job seekers’ educational background and interests. Other features of job alert application including the jib posting, online resume, company information assessment and other job seeking functions. Finally, a prototype of the application will be developed to support the findings.
