Decision Support System or DSS is a system designed to process and analyze business data to be presented to the users so that they could make business decisions easily. The main purpose is to aid and support human decision-making. DSS is mostly used by the managers whose job require them to fully understand the four major resources namely money, people, material and information so that they could organize and manage an organization or department well. A DSS is only an “informational system” which means that the system collects the requested information and then presents it to the users to help them decide. A DSS only extends or groups the information but still requires human judgment in producing the final decision.
