BY
ONG SEE YOON
ABSTRACT
This project aims to develop
a more interactive and attractive teachware for
primary school students to facilitate the learning process. Comparatively,
books are rather static, and do not provide interactive learning environment
for the children. This project targets primary schools students between
standard 4 and standard 6. It focuses on the development and design of
multimedia features such as animation, sound effects and colorful graphics and
as a result, students will be able to absorb information better when their five
senses are stimulated in the learning process. This system will provide basic
primary school syllabus for students between standard 4 to 6 such as English,
Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia and so forth so that it
will not only help the students to improve their knowledge but will also
motivate them to learn and to have more interest towards education. Besides
that, this system will also create an interactive multimedia application such
as quizzes and tutorials so that students will be able to test their level of knowledge.
A dictionary and words translator will also be provided to the students. An
in-depth study on various multimedia tools such as Macromedia Flash and other
related tools will also be carried out.
