ABSTRACT

The project aims to study and implement an e-commerce system for bridal shops, which allow Internet users to browse and but the wedding costumes through the Internet. The purpose of choosing this title is that there are only a few bridal websites that are being developed in Malaysia. The proposed system allows Internet users to do e-shopping on wedding costumes and helps the bridal shop owner to run their business operations online. Internet users can purchase wedding gowns, bridesmaid dress, invitation cards and flowers through the system. Besides, it provides wedding information such as honeymoon destinations and wedding receptions. Furthermore, users can make appointments with the bridal shop’s staff to try the wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. Users can view their order records after the purchased date to check whether the products have been delivered or still pending. One extra function of the proposed system is decision support system (DSS), which helps users to make decisions on their honeymoon destinations. This system will generate an accurate result about the information on the honeymoon destination based on the answers given by the users. For the administrator part, only authorized users can add, update and delete products’ record. Besides that, they can view all the appointments made by their customers. The administrators can make changes to the date of appointment requested by the customers. Lastly, the proposed system will generate monthly sales report for the management by selecting a month by which they want to view.
