COMPUTERIZATION OF FURNITURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF PERABOT GAYA FURNITURE COMPANY SDN. BHD.

ABSTRACT
This project is to convert the manual management system of the Perabot Gaya Company to computerized system. The modules of subsystems involved in this conversion are customer’s ordering control, inventory control, payment process and project scheduling. The computerized-based Furniture Management System will provide a more flexible, systematic and efficient management system for the company. With the help of this computerized Furniture Management System staffs workload can be reduced since a large part of the tedious work will be taken over by the designed system. For example, the clerks or workers have to count the stock or material currently available for the new projects, but by using this system, , the workers just have to check the current material quantity from the system then decision for reordering will be made. In addition, those customer and supplier records are stored in the database. It is easy handle by the clerk to amend. All these will help them to provide a better service to customer, the accuracy of calculation are always assured, thus increasing the efficiency in managing the process and productivity.
