ABSTRACT

Steganography studies the embedding of secondary data in digital image, video, audio and text-based documents. It is sometimes called watermarks. Classical steganography systems depend on keeping the encoding system secret, but modern steganography is detectable only if secret information is known. Hiding a message with steganography methods reduces the chance of a message being detected. The purposes are ownership protection, tampering detecting, data hiding and so on. Their applications include copyright protection, owner authentication and tamper detection and so on. The author will focus on studying the techniques and the technologies of steganography. The author will gather and analyse the relevant information and implement an application. This application will helpto hide the important messages. Recently, the issue on pirated properties and forgery are getting serious; therefore, the author’s main purpose is to implement this application is to prevent forgery of theft. The author’s main intention is to use this application on important documents such as certificates. This application will identify the original copy and the forgery copy, and the messages that are embedded inside it.
