The proposed project focuses on the development of a computerized management system for a road construction company. The company, Sugu Construction Sdn Bhd is a mid sized business dealing with the construction and maintenance of roads. The main area of this project is to design and implement an accounting system that will improve the way that the accounts are currently being kept. This is to ensure that the company will have a reliable accounting package now and when their company grows in the future. Another area of this project is to design a system that will help manage the inventory of the company. A major source of income for the company comes from the rental of their machinery. Many forms are filled out for the rental of the equipment each month. On top of that, all these forms have to be checked and the accounts of the customers have to be posted into the proper books. This system can also be used by the business to keep their records for their own references and also for the proper authorities in the construction business. In terms of research, this project would look into the development in the field of accounting and the various kinds of accounting software that are available in the field of accounting and the various of accounting software that are available in the market and make comparisons as to which field of accounting they are based on. And by completing this research, the findings from the research would enable a most updated and recent system to be created in this project.
