A STUDY ON MIDI SOUND AND IMPLEMENTING IT INTO AN INTERACTIVE 2D AND 3D ANIMATED PHOTO TEACH WARE FOR CHILDREN

ABSTRACT

 

            The purpose of this project is to conduct a study on music instrument digital interface (MIDI) sound. It investigates how MIDI sound works and how it is generated, the power of MIDI and how it is used. The project further develops a beginner piano teach ware where MIDI will be implemented. The target users will be children aged  between 5-8 years of age. The graphics such as the keyboard and notes will be on 3D. The environment will be created in 2D. The teach ware functions includes teaching about the basic piano keys and their names. Music scores will also be included, where the users can choose and learn to play. The users can choose their favorite songs to listen and sing along with it. By implementing this system, the author hope to make learning music store more fun and exciting for the children.
