IMPLEMENTATION OF AN E-DICTIONARY APPLICATION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABSTRACT
This document is a compilation of all the information and facts that was found during the researching period. This document is the documentation of the entire project which are reported for the preliminary research and study phase to the testing phase. Nowadays, accessing the Internet is very popular. Internet is not only can be used to searching and exchanging information, but it also can be used in learning and studying area. With the development of the technology, students use to learn computer in the school’s lab or at home for their studying. The purpose of this project is to implement an E-Dictionary application for primary school students. E-Dictionary is just like normal printed dictionary, but the different is it is easier and faster to search for a word. This application is to search the English word and get the explanation in Chinese and Malay. Besides that, some samples of sentences, illustrations or animated graphics and pronunciation will be added for each word in the E-Dictionary. With the use of multimedia elements, the system will be more attractive and interesting in learning.
