ABSTRACT

The proposed system is to study and implement a client server based answering machine system using Java Telephony API methodology. It is aimed to develop a system which will be able to receive telephone calls and record the voice message if the receiver is not present. It also has a phone book attached to it as reference to make outgoing calls. The specialty of this system is its ability to retrieve the system from a remote client. The voice messages are recorded in the server and are stored there. The clients can access those voice messages by logging on to the remote server using a valid username and password. The logged on clients will be given full privilege to listen or delete the voice messages
